What is Subscription Model?
Suppose you are selling those products which are consumable and required frequently by customers. It may be daily need groceries like eggs, breads, milk, etc. It may also be weekly or monthly consumable items like Pulses, Flour, Baking Soda, Detergent, etc. It may also have cosmetics like Lipsticks, Shaving Foam, Deodrants, Perfumes, etc.
The customers may instead of buying them each time they need it, can actually subscribe them setting the frequency of the requirement. Frequency may have multiple options like Daily, Alternative Day, On Particular Day of the week, On specific day of the month. Once the user submits the request, it is recorded by our system and you, as store owner, start receiving the orders based on customer requirement.
What is the benefit of subscription model?
How would you, as store owner, collect money for subscribed orders?
Payments for Subscribed Orders can be made in two ways: Deduction from wallet or Cash on delivery. As store owner, you would have an option to disable Cash on Delivery for subscribed orders. In case, you have disabled Cash on Delivery, you would receive orders till customer's wallet has money into it. If an order fails due to lack of money in wallet, Customer would receive notification to refill the wallet. Once wallet is refilled, you would again start receiving orders.
Can a customer cancel a subscription?
Of course, Customer is provided with an option to cancel a subscription. However, a notice period can be set by you from admin under Subscription Settings. "No. of days required to cancel a subscription by user" is the option to set notice period for the customer. It means, Once Cancelled, Orders would continue to place till the notice period ends.
Will you, as store owner, get time to cater products as per customer's subscription?
Similar to Notice period to cancel subscription, you are given an option to take buffer before a subscription begins. This setting is also available under Subscription Settings as "Subscription can start from".
